When you register with the Chicago Crime Commission, you need to enter your email address. In order to verify if the email address is realy yours, we will send you an email containing a special generated code. You must use the code you receive in order to activate your account. Any other code you use will be invalid.

If you lost your activation code, login to your account and click the "Resend activation code" link. Then use the new code you receive as described above.

Don’t worry if you forgot your password. Your access to your Chicago Crime Commission account will not be lost. We will help you access your account data and information by providing you a temporary password. You just need to enter your email address in the field below.

We recommend you to use the address registered on our system (the one you use when you login on our site). An email containing your temporary password will be generated and sent to the corresponding email address.

For security reasons, we advise you to change the temporary password with one chosen by you. When you first login in using the temporary password, you will be automatically redirected to the Change Password page. Enter the new password in the appropriate fields and click the Save button to save the changes. When you re-login to your account, you will use the password selected by you and not the temporary one.

What happens if you forgot your email address? No need to worry, you can still access your account informatin. You just need to follow the steps below:

1. 1. Select Contact>Other from the top menu bar from the main page.
2. 2. In the window that will open, enter your name and one of your valid email addresses in the appropriate fields. Select the subject of your email (for example Other)
3. 3. Enter a short description of your problem in the Your message text area.
4. 4. Insert the displayed security code in the corresponding filed.
5. 5. Click the Send button to send your message.
6. 6. An email containing your recovered email address will be send at your above provided email address (at step 2).
